Job Duties
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Assistant Warden and all other offices/areas as needed. Enters relevant data into systems for tracking purposes in areas of inmate disciplinary charges, inmate request forms, informal complaints, and inmate grievances. Assigns Sanitation Inspection Teams as well as track the information provided and maintains a file of all completed forms. Oversees and manages the inmate worker(s) assigned to the area and submits pay documentation for such to the Business Office in a timely manner. Prepares copies of relevant documentation, maintains files, faxes documentation and answers telephone calls. Completes meeting minutes for Assistant Warden's Team Meetings and Quarterly Safety Meetings. Maintains records for audit folders.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and office equipment. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements. Knowledge of rules and regulations related to records storage, maintenance, release, and confidentiality. Demonstrated skill in maintaining confidentiality. Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office. Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner. Skilled in communicating with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
Additional Considerations
Advance Knowledge in using CORIS and office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field.
