Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center(NAQC) is the quality arm of Hyundai Motor Group(HMG) based in S. Korea and oversees all quality problems raised in North America. NAQC Investigation Team's primary objective is to identify a range of quality issues within the North American market and implement targeted corrective actions to minimize quality problems in the field. Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center (NAQC) is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer II at Chino/Irvine, CA office who will:

responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of an organization's data and databases, and managing and maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of an organization's data and database systems

The ideal candidate is….

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Set up data back up system and implement data restore plan
• Extract and transform data to proper format depending on the data analysis needs
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Ensure all database programs meet the company and performance requirements.
• Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols.
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Physical Demands, Work Environment, Travel Expectations:

• This is mostly a sedentary role; however, some physical effort may be required.
• Occasionally may need to lift or handle equipment or materials weighing up to 20-30 pounds, especially when setting up new hardware or maintaining existing systems
• Minimal Travel: The role generally requires minimal travel as most tasks are performed on-site or remotely. Travel may be required for training, conferences, or visits to remote data centers or offices.

Emergency Response: Availability for urgent system issues that might require on-site presence at non-standard hours or locations, although this is generally infrequent.

Compensation Range : $22.60 ~ $26.44 (hourly)
