General Description:
The ideal candidate for Investment Counselor role will be responsible for generating revenues for the business, as well as higher returns to Clients, through the Financial Advisors' (FAs) offering and implementing the Investment Strategies designed in conjunction with the Investment Strategy Department (DEI) according to the segment, needs, objectives, contracted service, profiles and investment horizons of the Clients' contracts, honoring at all times the bank's Fiduciary Duty, providing personalized and tailored advice to FAs and Clients. Leads the design, execution and monitoring of investment strategies for all segments of the business for the achievement of its goals for Income, Commercial Actions, penetration, Funds, MLB, Structured Products, etc., and designs the investment education and training of the team's FAs and Investment Specialists.
Main Responsibilities:
Develops customized investment proposals for Private Clients based on the Investment Strategy proposed by DEI and creates customized Strategies and/or financial products for Private Clients in coordination with DEI and using the full range of Funds, Capital Markets, Debt, Money and Derivatives products, according to the level of sophistication and risk tolerance of the Clients, and participates in the presentation of the proposal to the Client. Participates in periodic meetings with DEI to know the general Investment Strategy and its rationale and communicates it in detail to the Commercial team and Private Clients, participating in Divisional Committees to disseminate and follow up with the Commercial team. Participates in meetings, events and public forums with Clients and prospects where he/she explains the strategies and detects their needs, explaining how to satisfy them in an efficient way
The ideal candidate will be co-responsible for the fulfillment of the Financial Advisor's goals by training, promoting, leading and advising them. Develops and proposes strategies to achieve the goals of the FAs in particular and the business in general, maintaining continuous contact with the Commercial Head and follows up on the performance of the FAs with respect to their goals, establishing strategies to achieve them, using existing BBVA databases and tools to provide value to the FAs in making decisions in the management of their portfolios, and sharing best practices with other divisions. Detects red flags in the portfolios of FAs and private clients.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Experience/Requirements:
- High technical and financial knowledge of Money, Capital, Exchange and Fund Markets; Structured Instruments and Derivatives, and economic indicators.
- Experience in analysis of financial information and customer portfolios and generation of optimal proposals based on particular constraints.
- Prior experience advising FAs and Clients on strategies, product features, results and external impacts on their portfolios.
- BA in Economics, Finance or Business Administration, Masters in finance desired
