Responsible for mechanical component fabrication. Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, welding, design, and fabrication. Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes. Perform manual tasks such as rust treatment, painting, materials removal, metal grinding, cutting, and the application of various solutions. Able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights. Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders, and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation including following test procedures and recording results.

- Use of basic powered and hand tools
- Ability to lead small project teams and provide guidance to new or entry-level employees

Work EnvironmentRequires experience and job knowledge of welding and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education. Minimum of 5 years of experience is required. Vocational or technical education is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is necessary. Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and various equipment. Activities involve standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions, and distinguish all colors.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
