ELLIS BROOKLYN is a clean and eco, award-winning fragrance line carried at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, and international retailers like Mecca. We're believers that fragrance should be created and worn for each person's unique self-pleasure. We're looking for a Sales Manager to support our sales team, reporting to the Sales Director. This position will also help manage the Sales and Trade Marketing Coordinator. Sephora and/or Ulta experience is highly preferred.

About the Role

  • Be a key mid level sales manager for Ellis Brooklyn sales team on wholesale accounts. Experience with Sephora, Ulta, international and/or Nordstrom strongly preferred.
  • Review, evaluate & respond to all inbound retailer inquiries
  • Coordinate with sales director, finance team and operations manager to setup national retail accounts and ensure all required information is compliant with company policies
  • Ownership of certain sales accounts.
  • Process Sales Orders
  • Process electronic payments for open sales orders
  • Assist in build out of wholesale customer account portal
  • Provide superior customer service to all current & prospective retail partners
  • Track T&C, shipping & logistically requirements
  • Maintain retailer directory
  • Education
  • Execute effective brand education, product education & retailer trainings virtually & in-person
  • Identify key educational needs for clients based on retailer category
  • Strong excel and analytical mindset

Growth Strategies

Collaborate with Sales Director and Finance team on pricing strategy, profit margin & optimizing net profit

Target, qualify & pursue retail leads and execute retail prospecting strategy

Co-lead bi-annual market meetings with indie retailers and/or specific accounts assigned

Analyze sales performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis with the Sales Director

Analytics

Establish top 100 account strategies, managing account performance to support growth

Continuously segment retailers to customize sales support and refine new retailer prospecting

Track launch performance, developing learnings and action steps

Communication

Communicate product launches in timely fashion with retailers

Own retailer call cycle to ensure timely communication and e-CRM to maximize re-orders

Manage gratis/tester program for key retailerswhile working closely with the Sales Director and CEO/Trade Marketing

Marketing

Work with founder, social media team and pr team in coordinating 360 marketing campaigns.

Partner with creative and marketing to develop retailer marketing, merchandising and educational materials as needed.

Compliance and Logistics

Work with operations on packing/shipping guidelines to ensure compliance and streamline logistics

Ensure products are shipped on time and according to retailer-specific standards to be on time and minimizing penalties

Coordinate with Sales Director, Demand Planning and Product Development to effectively manage product inventory allocated for retails during product innovation, development & launch phases.

Base of $80,000-105,000

Bonus 10% based off performance and qualitative aspects
