Floor Technician (2nd shift)

Job Summary: Cleans and maintains carpeted and hard surface floors. Performs special assignments such as wall washing, vent cover cleaning and maintenance of special equipment. Maintains an adequate level of productivity to complete all tasks while working safely and dependably. Essential Functions:

• Schedule for Floor Tech position is for 2nd shift (4:30PM - 12:00AM), Monday - Friday.
• Due to nature of work, rotating weekends, are required
• Experience with commercial grade buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaning machines (to include all devices/attachments) for the use of specific and professional maintenance of hard surface floors
• Ability to determine appropriate cleaning chemicals used to maintain various surfaces (to incl. vinyl, painted, ceramic tile, metal, brick, wood, cork, concrete) as well as performing finishing techniques to protect/preserve various floor finishes
• Ability to maintain hospital environment in a sanitary, attracting, and orderly condition
• Ability to perform specific cleaning tasks, including dusting horizontal surfaces, and maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report needed repairs to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures
• MUST be punctual and maintain regular attendance

• Adhere to Company rules, technical procedures, and safety policies as may be communicated to him/her verbally or in writing and in English
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 6 to 12 months documented experience as a Floor Technician or equivalent, One Year experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment, safety practices as related to Housekeeping/Janitorial Industry.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read and understand service requests, container labels, product information, and directions on cleaning chemicals and other materials.
