Job Description Purpose of Position: Clerical Associate 3's assigned to Business Office and Outpatient Registration, perform all duties related to registration, cashiering and scheduling appointments. Assignments are based on daily need and available coverage Job Responsibilities: - Conduct patient interviews to obtain identifying information, such as demographic, biographic and insurance status for Registration/Check-In. Information is entered accurately into EPIC system. - Obtain signatures on registration forms including TPO, Bill of Rights, HIPPA Notice of Privacy, Health Care Proxy and General Consents. - Enroll patients into Imprivata Scanner system and MyChart. - Scan insurance cards, Photo ID and other supporting documentation in EPIC. - Assist patients in making and rescheduling appointments in EPIC. - Generate medical record numbers for new patients. - Perform systems checks to verify insurance coverage including ePaces for Medicaid. - Revise patient information in EPIC based on documentation provided by patients. - Provide guidance to patients in regards to Hospital policy, such as the document requirements for insurance screening and/or financial screening. - Accept patient payments of cash, checks, debit and credit cards. - Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee. Minimum Qualifications 1. A four-year High School Diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement: Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
