Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development:
  • Generate new leads and secure new clients through outbound calls, networking, and relationship building.
  • Grow and manage a book of business, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services.
  • Client Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers, understanding their needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Freight Operations:
  • Source and negotiate with carriers to secure competitive rates and reliable transportation options.
  • Monitor freight shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to optimize service efficiency and meet client expectations.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to provide clients with valuable insights.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Reporting:
  • Track and report sales activity, revenue, and account performance metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all transactions and communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or a similar role, preferably in freight brokerage or logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including carrier networks and freight markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for achieving targets and driving revenue.
