Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Wholesale & E-commerce Account Manager to oversee and grow relationships with wholesale clients, e-commerce platforms, and national key accounts. This role is pivotal in driving sales, improving account performance, and ensuring our products are prominently featured and well-stocked across multiple sales channels. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in account management, sales strategy, and the CPG industry.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with wholesale clients, e-commerce platforms, and national retail partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, addressing client needs, resolving issues, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, working closely with operations and logistics teams.
Sales Growth:
- Identify opportunities to expand product offerings within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with clients to develop promotional strategies, increase sales velocity, and improve in-store and online performance.
- Monitor account performance metrics, including sales, inventory levels, and revenue targets, and take corrective actions as needed.
E-commerce & Online Marketplaces:
- Manage partnerships with online retailers and marketplaces like Amazon, Grove, and iHerb.
- Optimize product listings, pricing, and advertising to drive growth in online channels.
- Track and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on trends.
Key Account Management:
- Oversee strategic accounts such as national retail chains, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
- Plan and execute joint business strategies, including promotional calendars, product launches, and in-store activations.
- Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing agreements with major accounts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align account strategies with overall brand goals.
- Provide input on product innovation based on client and consumer feedback.
- Coordinate with the finance team to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and invoicing.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track sales data, analyze trends, and prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve account performance and maximize revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of account management experience in the CPG industry, preferably in wholesale or e-commerce.
- Proven success managing accounts across multiple sales channels, including national retailers and online platforms.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with e-commerce tools and platforms such as Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, or similar.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with supply chain management or order fulfillment systems is a plus.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
