The People Operations Partner at Hive Collective is a dynamic role that combines strategic people lifecycle management with hands-on operations. This individual will guide team members through critical milestones, manage total rewards and HRIS processes, and fostering an exceptional employee experience. This role requires a detail-oriented, strategic professional with a passion for employee development, operational excellence, and organizational culture. Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Management: Workforce Forecasting: Support leadership with workforce planning and forecasting to meet business needs. Recruitment and Staffing: Support recruitment for Intern, PT, FT, and Seasonal roles, including employment branding, sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding. Performance and Talent Reviews: Support talent review processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and employee growth. Individual and Team Development: Provide guidance on training programs and team development opportunities to enhance performance and culture. Employee Engagement and Culture: Promote a positive, collaborative work environment with a focus on employee relations, engagement, and culture-building initiatives. Act as the primary contact for Spanish-speaking team members. Offboarding: Lead offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and gathering valuable feedback for continuous improvement. Total Rewards Management Provide leadership to compensation structures, ensuring internal and external equity. Oversee bi-weekly payroll processes and optimize for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, partnering with Hive's Finance team. Manage employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.), coordinating open enrollment, updates, and terminations. Provide employees with information on benefits options and competitive offerings. Benchmark best practices on new benefits offerings. Conduct periodic reviews to ensure competitiveness and regulatory compliance. PEO & HRIS Management Serve as the primary point of contact for Hive Collective’s PEO partner. Ensure effective vendor management and alignment with Hive’s payroll, benefits, and compliance needs. Work with the PEO to assess and implement new offerings. Oversee HRIS systems (Toast, Sling, BambooHR, and Paychex) to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Optimize systems and processes to support operational needs. Employee Experience & Development Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing payroll, benefits, and HR-related inquiries in a timely manner. Provide coaching to managers on employee performance, development plans, and engagement strategies. Conduct onboarding sessions to ensure employees understand payroll, benefits, and company policies. Assist leadership with fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment that aligns with Hive Collective’s core values, exercising sound judgment in resolving conflicts and addressing sensitive issues within the team. Assist with investigations, HR audits, and employee relations as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in a combined HR generalist and operations role. Proven experience managing payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes. Experience partnering with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) a plus Knowledge of HR compliance and labor laws. Proficiency in HR systems, payroll software, and time/attendance tools. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus Interest in growing and learning something new every day Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, strong judgment and decision-making skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
