Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Investment Funds Associate to support its expanding Investment Funds team in Atlanta. This position requires expertise in investment management and fund formation. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team representing private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, and other types of funds. There will also be opportunities to work on matters involving retail alternative funds such as BDCs, interval funds, and closed-end funds. The role involves direct client contact and requires strong business development skills.

Duties:
Support the formation and management of various investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, and other alternative investment strategies.
Assist with fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance.
Engage in client interaction and build strong client relationships.
Provide advice on investment management and fund governance.
Draft and review offering documents, partnership agreements, and other investment-related legal documents.
Collaborate with other practice areas to support clients on a broad range of investment fund-related matters.
Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking and identifying opportunities for new client engagements.
Requirements:
3 to 6 years of experience in investment funds, investment management, and fund formation.
Experience with private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, and real estate funds is preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters in the investment management industry.
Ability to manage client relationships effectively and drive business development efforts.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the State Bar (Georgia or eligible for reciprocity).
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of investment fund formation and management.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills for investment-related legal documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Solid interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
