Duties
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody and support, adoptions, and protective orders. Attend hearings, pretrial conferences, and other court appearances. Conduct legal research and draft documents related to family law cases. Manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the highest quality of legal services. Requirements
Active member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar, or eligibility to sit for the Virginia Bar Exam. Demonstrated interest in family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and adoption cases. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage a high volume of cases while meeting deadlines. Must own reliable transportation. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, though not required. Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Virginia State Bar membership, or eligibility to take the Virginia Bar Exam. Skills
Proficiency in legal research and drafting family law documents. Strong litigation skills and courtroom experience. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
