Hazen is currently seeking a full-time Mid-Level Structural Engineer for an employment opportunity in our Twin Cities office.
Prospective applicants must have between 3 and 8 years of experience and possess a BS degree or MS (preferred) in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration from an ABET accredited institution. Candidates must also have a Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one in the State of Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
Perform assessment, design, and construction tasks for water and wastewater treatment projects. Conduct site inspections and assessments of existing infrastructure. Produce design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design, and engineering plans/specifications for environmental structures such as industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, storage facilities, and treatment facilities. Participate in construction tasks for similar projects including submittal review, responding to RFIs, site inspections, and clarifications during construction. Lead the structural design and construction administration responsibilities for major projects involving upgrades to wastewater, water, and reclaimed water treatment plants, storage facilities, pipelines, stormwater systems, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems. Experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel, and aluminum is required, as well as knowledge of applicable building codes, design standards including ACI, AISC, ASCE, and structural analysis and design software.
