Position Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural and needs of the patient and family. Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team as appropriate about changes in the patient’s condition or response to treatment. Able to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. The RN will be required to work and maintain competence in a minimum of two specialties.
Minimum Requirements:
Required Education:
Associate degree is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
Required Certification:
BLS required
ACLS is required within 6 months of hire
Other:
1 year of clinical experience as an RN in surgical services is required.
