Retail Pharmacist - Part-time

Position Highlights:

Working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, retail pharmacists will prepare, dispense, and distribute medications, provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner which ensures optimal patient care, ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing and maintenance of records, provide direction to pharmacy technicians and interns and assist with the organization of daily activities. Part-time retail pharmacists will enjoy a combination of working at all of Nebraska Medicine's retail locations (Durham Outpatient Pharmacy, Lauritzen Outpatient Pharmacy, Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy and Village Pointe Pharmacy) with the opportunity to float to our Central Fill Pharmacy. This position will be templated one night every other week and one weekend every 6th week at the DOC Pharmacy and will self-schedule the remainder of their shifts.

Shift details: Part Time & Benefits Eligible (0.5 FTE or 40 hours in a 2-week pay period) First Shift: Varied 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday shifts at the DOC Pharmacy: 7am to 5:30pm, 8am to 6:30pm and 9:30am to 8pm Monday - Friday shifts at the BMC/LOC/VP Pharmacies: 7:30am to 5:30pm One weekend (Saturday & Sunday) repeating every 6th week at the DOC Pharmacy: 7am - 5pm Shifts are primarily self-scheduled If you have questions about applying for this

Retail Pharmacist - Part-time:

Working with the healthcare team, prepare, dispense, and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining dispensing and maintenance of records. Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required. Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required. Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required. Preferred Qualifications:

Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred. American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred. Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred. Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
