Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the implementation and management of information assurance policies, processes, and standards to ensure compliance with DoD and government cybersecurity requirements. Lead efforts to maintain system accreditation under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including the development and submission of documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO). Manage the identification, assessment, and remediation of system vulnerabilities using tools such as ACAS and compliance with STIGs. Oversee the execution of vulnerability scans, compliance checks, and security updates, ensuring systems meet all regulatory standards. Track and update Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) entries, ensuring remediation target dates align with RMF guidelines. Develop and maintain system security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), PPS tables, and Security Control Assessments (SCAs). Ensure timely application of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) directives, coordinating with operational teams to implement mitigations. Analyze and validate security controls for system interoperability, ensuring changes and configurations meet DoD standards. Provide oversight and guidance for incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for cybersecurity events. Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to ensure secure integration of new technologies, upgrades, and system migrations. Lead audits and assessments to validate compliance with DoD and government cybersecurity policies. Deliver training and awareness programs for staff on cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and emerging threats. Report on cybersecurity posture, risks, and remediation efforts to program leadership and stakeholders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Active Secret clearance with SSBI Active CISSP certification Minimum of 12+ years of related IT experience Bachelors degree in a related field DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Active CAP, CASP+, Security+ or CISM certifications Overview
