Job Summary
CalPortland is looking for a skilled and motivated Product Owner to lead the development of our logistics and bulk materials software solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, UX/UI designers, logistics specialists, and business operations to ensure our products meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision for logistics and bulk material software that aligns with business objectives and customer needs. Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that all items are well-defined and reflect customer feedback, market trends, and business goals User Stories: Create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria focusing on the specific needs of logistics operations, such as inventory management, tracking, transportation, and supply chain visibility Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide product updates, and ensure alignment with business goals Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure transparency and continuous improvement Metrics and KPIs: Establish and track relevant performance metrics and KPIs to assess product success, user satisfaction, and potential areas for improvement Product Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, user guides, and release notes to ensure clear communication among team members and stakeholders Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred - i.e. Computer Science, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role focusing on logistics or supply chain software Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is preferred
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
