We are a well respected demolition and environmental company headquartered in Norfolk, VA seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to become a part of our North Carolina team!
Most projects will be located at Camp Lejeune or MCAS Cherry Point area.

Responsibilities:
The Heavy Demolition Operator is responsible for working with the Heavy Demolition team for ensuring the project is completed in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
- Work with the Heavy Demolition Supervisor to organize and plan all aspects of the construction project (activities, methods, goals etc.) from start to finish
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, etc.) following safety policies and procedures
- Assist with regular equipment inspections and preventative maintenance (lubricating, fueling, cleaning etc.)
- Document and advise supervisors of any repairs needed on equipment
- Perform heavy demolition work to include complete building demolition, select item demolition, trenching, utility demolition, segregations and loading of debris as well as site restoration.
- Work with the Heavy Demolition Supervisor and/or other personnel to ensure that the working environment is compliant with all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties assigned by the Heavy Demolition Supervisor and/or management
Qualifications:
- Completion of equipment certification as required by federal and state regulations
- Valid Driver’s License; Commercial Drivers License (CDL) a plus
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- 2-4 years of experience with heavy demolition in the construction industry
- Experience working with OSHA regulated sites a plus
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, truck driving, or other related fields
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to handle physical workload
