Job Description:
The Material Handler/Painter will be responsible for safely moving structural steel materials throughout the shop, preparing and loading trailers, and learning to apply industrial coatings using a paint sprayer. This position requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Operate overhead cranes to safely move steel materials within the shop and load trailers. Utilize hard-tire forklifts to transport materials as needed. Prepare and load structural steel onto trailers for delivery. Learn and perform industrial painting using a paint sprayer; training will be provided. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Follow all safety protocols, including participating in required respirator fit testing. Support the team with additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications:
Experience operating overhead cranes to move heavy steel materials. Proficiency in operating hard-tire forklifts. Ability to pass a respirator fit test. Prior experience with industrial paint spraying is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
