Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid State License required at time of submission, okay to submit without license in hand in Missouri Certifications: BCLS, RRT Must-Have: NICU/PICU experience Job Description: - Every other weekend work required. - First-time applicants are accepted. - This position does not require on-call responsibilities. - Clinicians will not float within the scope to meet facility needs. - Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. - Travelers must have experience in Emergency Department, Level 1 Trauma Facility, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatrics. - The facility is a Children's Acute Care Teaching Hospital with a total of 400 staffed beds. - EPIC is the charting system used throughout the facility. - Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Wednesday of the week before the initial start date. - Flu vaccine is required; medical and religious exemptions are available. - The position requires fitting facial hair for testing or shaving when applicable. No exceptions. - Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed. - Return staff policy requires permanent employees to wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. - Standard travelers can stay for an 18-month period with a required 3-month break after 18 months. - Allied and Non-Clinical travelers can stay for a 12-month period with a required 6-month break after 12 months.
