Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position is an administrative clerical position to manage the front desk of our Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services outpatient mental health clinic. Duties include: • Schedule appointments in Epic for all clinicians. • Register and check in patients upon arrival for appts. • Complete check-outs of patients at end of visits - review DAR and perform EOD daily • Perform "scrubbing" of all scheduled appts to address any insurance/pt information errors • Data Entry and Maintains CAPS Databases. • Perform front desk duties including: responding to phone inquiries, registering patients, scheduling appointments, notifying clinical staff that patients are registered, managing intake and triage paperwork • Make reminder phone calls to patients daily • Assist staff with any requests for old medical records for chart review as needed. Provides copies of the medical records per the requests from the unit clinicians. • Scan documents into EMR as requested by clinicians. • Assist staff in making copies, scanning and faxing. • Assists in the distribution of various printed materials used in the clinic operations. • Retrieval of inter office mail from Central Administration/Department of Psychiatry • Other tasks as assigned by Clinical Director/Unit Chief and/or Coordinating Manger. Minimum Qualifications 1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and 2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
