SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Superintendent that will be responsible for providing coordination, planning, and supervision to assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service. RESPONSIBILITIESPlanning and implementation to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project scheduleReview construction documents for completeness and constructabilityReview and understand contract documentsCoordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepanciesParticipate in the development and management of a project schedule to include three and six week look ahead schedulesDevelop a site logistics planManage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipmentCoaching, supervisory, and development responsibilitiesConduct on-site project orientationsConduct effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetingsSupervise project partners, craft foremen, and crewsInterview, hire, transfer, and terminate if needed craft team membersCoach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team membersEnsure proper task coding of work hours on time cardsLead and track work progress and craft productivityHandle craft team member training, ensuring they are current prior to starting taskConduct career development discussions with foremen and craft team membersEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsLead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performanceQUALIFICATIONSAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or 10 years trade experienceMinimum 10 years construction experience with four of those years having supervisory experienceCurrent driver’s licenseShown ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksBasic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesMicrosoft Office skills at an intermediate levelShown positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackKnowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended useA few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance  Gym Membership Discount Program  The base compensation range for this role is the base pay range for this job is $126,300 - $189,500.
