ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Accounting Specialist for its Pittsburgh, PA Central office.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Transactions and Record-Keeping:

  • Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Ensure accurate coding and classification of accounts in accordance with organizational policies.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records on a regular basis.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Support for Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing basic financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date financial documentation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Internship or relevant coursework in accounting is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
