Environmental Services Associate - Environmental Services Northridge Hospital Medical Center We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our team. The Environmental Services Associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility, which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility. Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures. Collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste, and linens. Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas. Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff. Operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma and/or GED education. Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions. Able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, keep simple records, or use simple office machines. Minimum 6 months janitorial experience in Healthcare or Nursing Home preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must maintain current Fire Safety card. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
