Tax Manager

Vaco Boston has partnered with a highly regarded wealth management advisory firm seeking a Tax Manager. This is a high visibility role reporting to the Head of Tax.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare complex high net worth tax returns for individuals.
2. Review tax returns.
3. Analyze and process quarterly estimated tax payments for assigned individual accounts.
4. Work with the Tax Department Team to develop, implement, and oversee department-wide initiatives.
5. Identify tax planning opportunities for individuals and families.
6. Mentor junior Tax Advisors.
7. Utilize a variety of software applications related to tax research, planning, and preparation including: BNA and Profx.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting concentration and/or Taxation.
2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in individual tax return compliance.
3. Knowledge about individual and gift tax matters preferred.
4. Experience with fiduciary and estate tax returns preferred.
5. Solid understanding of investment management concepts.
