Key Job Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with energyRe's mission and objectives.
- Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging across various platforms.
- Craft compelling narratives that highlight energyRe's projects, achievements, and commitment to sustainable energy.
- Support Management in the participation in public events (both internal and external).
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for energyRe, managing media inquiries and interviews.
- Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Foster strong relationships with community leaders, policymakers, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
- Support the business units in managing external stakeholders and local communities with events, open houses and documentation.
- Represent energyRe at industry events, conferences, and public forums.
- Collaborate with government affairs teams to support policy initiatives and regulatory strategies.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage any potential reputational risks.
- Provide strategic counsel to the executive team during crisis situations.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including speeches, op-eds, blog posts, social media updates, and marketing materials.
- Ensure all content is aligned with energyRe's brand voice and messaging.
- Lead and mentor a team of communications professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for communications projects.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications and public relations strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong media relations skills and a network of industry contacts.
- Experience managing crisis communications and issues management.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and sustainability issues is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
