Position Overview
The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Part-Time Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of its premier Annual Fundraising Event, a key revenue-generating initiative for our mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned event professional with 5+ years of experience managing all aspects of high-profile fundraising events or galas.
As a contract-based team member, the Event Coordinator will oversee every detail of this high-profile event, including location and vendor management, sponsorship outreach, online marketing, email promotion, ticket set-up and sales, seating charts, table packaging, donor engagement and overall attendee experience from pre-event to post-event follow-up. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, a great communicator and passionate about delivering exceptional experiences that align with ICCR’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive event plan, timeline, and budget for ICCR's Annual Fundraising Event on October 23 in New York City. Noting that the venue, date, and other factors have already been established for 2024.
Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors, including venue, catering, AV, décor, and entertainment seeking the best rates and experience for all.
Coordinate all event logistics, including registration, seating charts, and attendee communications.
Ensure all event elements align with ICCR’s brand and mission – working closely with communications, development, and other leaders within ICCR to establish goals.
Sponsorship and Donor Engagement – working with ICCR lead fundraisers to establish a sponsorship plan of action. Identify, secure, and manage sponsorship opportunities in support of those lead solicitors, including developing sponsorship packages and stewarding relationships with sponsors.
Work closely with ICCR’s fundraising and communications teams to integrate donor and sponsor recognition into event materials and programming.
Help launch new system for expanded annual Legacy Award program and activating an award alumni winner’s circle.
Marketing and Ticketing
Create and manage online event ticketing platforms, ensuring a seamless registration process for attendees.
Collaborate with the communications team to develop and execute an online marketing strategy to promote ticket sales and sponsorship opportunities.
Oversee the creation of event collateral, such as invitations, programs, and signage.
On-Site Management and Follow-Up
Act as the primary point of contact during the event to ensure smooth operations.
Supervise event staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure execution aligns with the event plan.
Conduct post-event evaluations, compile feedback, and provide a comprehensive event report, including financial outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of proven success in planning and executing fundraising events, ideally with sponsorship management experience.
Event Skills: Expertise in vendor management, ticketing platforms, seating charts, event budgeting, and logistics.
Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with online marketing strategies, including email campaigns, social media, and event promotion.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, staff, and donors.
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in event management software, ticketing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (or similar tools). Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
Problem-Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances during live events.

Compensation and Hours
Competitive hourly or project-based retainer rate, commensurate with experience, up to $20,000.
Flexible work schedule, averaging 10–15 hours per week, with additional hours required in the months leading up to the event.
