Locums - Springfield, Missouri, OB/GYN Hospitalist Opening

It is not fully a true laborist job The Generalist OB group will be taking call for their private patients. With the decrease in workload for the hospitalist on call, the call shifts will be changed to 12 or 24 hours going forward. With a 7 am/7 pm sign out Weekday and weekend coverage: Currently have one (10 to 12 shift) Locums that is actively looking to shift back to the St. Louis market as soon as a job becomes available due the distance from home We have one current (6-8 shift) locums that is being assessed for long term compatibility All shifts will be 12 or 24 hour shifts, 7a - 7p or 7a - 7a OBGYN with ABOG Board Certified is a must To clarify, the position is a HOSPITALIST position (not call coverage). We still need candidates with primarily weekday/weeknight availability Weekend shifts are:
6 am to 3 pm 2 pm to 11 pm 10 pm to 7 am
Would like to find a full time candidate and a part time candidate, both with weekday availability to do locums work with us starting in March until such a time we no longer need locums coverage. "Full time" candidate would be approx. 144 hours per month with a mix of 12 and 24 hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs If desired can do a double shift (16 hours) but we do not schedule 24 hours 9 hour shifts in house (2 shifts in a 24 hour period can be requested/accommodated) They cover inpatient OB as well as inpatient GYN consults on the floor and in the ER There is no outpatient coverage (ie clinic) Patients Per Shift: 9 max scheduled cases/day (not including unscheduled patients who are admitted) - 3 cases night shift, 6 cases day shift # of RNs: Days average 7-9 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN's), Nights average 5-6 floor nurses (plus 1 charge, 2 triage RN's) - this number drops by about 1-2 nurses on weekend due to lower case-load # of MAs: We don't have MA's, but we have OB Assistants (3 on days, 2 on nights) and Surgical Technicians (3 on days, 2 on nights) # of PA/NPs: 4 midwives that care for patients - collaborate with physicians with increased in level of care situations No Call EMR: Epic Beds in Facility: 12 LDR + 3 Low intervention rooms (midwifery) Assigned/Unassigned Patients Board Certified - Required ACLS, ATLS, BLS - Required Trauma Level I, II Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
