FINANCIAL ANALYST SENIOR

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Works with the Group Finance Manager(s) to perform monthly financial reporting and performance analysis, develop quarterly financial forecasts, coordinate and prepare annual budgets, and perform ad hoc analysis and reporting, business case analyses, and other special projects. What you will do

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the retail banking segment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives. Monitor and report variances between actual performance and budget/forecast.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Develop and present detailed financial analyses, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loan growth, deposit trends, and net interest margin. Provide actionable insights to senior management on financial trends and risks.

Strategic Planning and Modeling:

Support long-term strategic planning by creating robust financial models for business scenarios, new initiatives, and market opportunities. Analyze the profitability of banking products and services, identifying opportunities for optimization.

Performance Monitoring:

Partner with business units to evaluate financial performance and recommend improvements. Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to assess divisional performance against goals.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements in financial planning processes and systems. Leverage technology to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Decision Support:

Act as a subject matter expert for the finance team, consulting with business partners to ensure they understand financial information and make sound decisions.

Project Management:

Participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of initiatives.

Must-Have* Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience required. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with financial software and tools, including Excel (data preparation, xlookup, sumifs, index match), ERP systems. Skills and Knowledge Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and MBA or CPA/CFA preferred. Banking or financial services industry experience preferred; Big Four experience a plus. Strong knowledge of FP&A practices, financial modeling, and strategic planning. Familiarity with retail banking operations, products, and regulations. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Self-starter, excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions. *To be considered for this position you must meet at least these basic qualifications.
