Pittsburgh, Columbus, Atlanta Role Overview: As a Cybersecurity Account Manager, youll be responsible for selling offensive and defensive cybersecurity offerings into accounts in your respective territory. This will include collaborating with AEs and SMEs to identify opportunities and expand the companys security footprint within existing accounts and net new logos. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong ability to generate leads, build relationships, and achieve sales targets. Focus: Primarily on acquiring net new customers and expanding the customer base. Approach: Proactive and aggressive in seeking out new business opportunities. Skills: Strong prospecting, networking, and cold-calling abilities. Activities: Identifying potential leads, making initial contact, and converting prospects into customers. Metrics: Measured by the number of new customers acquired and the revenue generated from new business. Challenges: Requires resilience to handle rejection and persistence to pursue new leads. Key Responsibilities: Identify and research potential customers and new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking / events, and online research. Collaborate with AEs to identify upsell opportunities within existing customer base. Generate and qualify leads to build a security focused sales pipeline. Conduct sales presentations and product demos to prospective customers. Effectively communicate our value proposition. Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential customers to understand their needs and provide solutions tailored to meet them. Own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle. Negotiate terms and close sales agreements to meet or exceed quota. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities. Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics using CRM software. Work closely with the AEs, SMEs, marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with company goals. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Information Science, or a related field is preferred. Experience in a service-based sales role, particularly in new business development 5+ years Experience in Cybersecurity market and awareness / understanding of competitors. Strong prospecting, networking, and lead generation skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. History of demonstrated achievement. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel is required
