We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the night shift to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and the production of fiber optic cabling.
Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC motors, single and 3 phase electrical circuits, electronic drives, and PLCs.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Repair extrusion machinery to produce fiber optic cabling.
- Re-wire and replace small to mid-size 480 V motors.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and PLC control.
- Experience with 3 phase electrical systems and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
- Skilled in PLC troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of extrusion processes.
- Experience with wiring motors.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
We offer a shift differential of 10% once you are brought on permanently. In addition, you will have access to full benefits and insurance packages, as well as a 401k match.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates on a night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM, Monday through Thursday, and every other Friday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00
