About the Company - Our team is currently seeking a people and process-oriented Production Supervisor for our Huntsville, AL facility. This would be a 2nd shift role reporting to our Production Manager. About the Role - The Production Supervisor ensures that production timeframes are met through smooth, efficient, and safe production operations. In this effort, the Production Supervisor oversees all aspects of the production floor, including staff, schedules, equipment, and processes. Responsibilities - Plan, direct and coordinate all aspects of production and packaging. Control WIP inventories. Supervise, direct, train and provide leadership for employees in the production department. Establish and audit safety, health and environmental programs. Ensure compliance with company policy and all health, HR, safety and environmental regulations. Establish work procedures in coordination with Engineering and Quality departments. Approve employee timesheets. Interpret instructions, specifications, or job orders to employees. Ensure product is built to engineered specifications. Monitor production output and quality data. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers. Analyze and resolve work related problems and assist workers in resolving work related problems. Make data driven decisions and use root cause analysis to resolve issues. Conduct health, safety and environmental meetings, train employees on compliance and their responsibilities in these areas and perform accident investigations/reports. Establish and maintain training program for production employees. Other duties assigned by management. Qualifications Required Skills - Computer proficiency, including MS Office and MS Outlook. Strong Excel skills required. SAP and Oracle Knowledge a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally. Lean Manufacturing Training a plus.
