Position Background: We are seeking to hire an Associate Director for our Asset Management team with a background in commercial real estate asset management. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and the highest level of integrity. This is a dynamic role that will report to the Managing Director, Asset Management and work directly with our asset management, leasing, project management and property management teams. The position provides exposure to a full spectrum of duties within a fast-growing real estate development and management firm. As such, the position demands a dedicated individual with leadership skills, facility with numbers, good people skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and solve problems. Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day asset management strategy of various property, project and leasing related activities, optimizing property financial performance and value; Oversee and coordinate leasing activities, analyze and negotiate lease transactions, interact with 3rd party brokerage teams, and ensure compliance with Investor; Take an active and creative approach to maximize project leasing and ensure cultivation of strong relationships with tenant and prospects; Assist in developing annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and business plans; Oversee execution of property level budgets and business plans; Attend weekly leasing meeting with 3rd party brokerage teams as well as internal meetings with property and project management teams; Oversee property-level operations and implementation of property-level capital projects; Complete monthly, quarterly and annual investor reporting; Review and approve property level invoices; Prepare investment memoranda to be presented to Investment Committee and Investors Travel required to the Bay Area Qualifications: We are looking for a passionate team player with grit, high integrity and a honed attention to detail. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in real estate; Undergraduate or advanced degree; Proven track record of successful leadership in asset management Experience in analyzing and negotiating leases (life science leasing experience a plus); Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, partners, and stakeholders; Individual should possess excellent oral and written communication skills; Must possess strong analytical skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; Experience with Argus Enterprise and real estate accounting systems (Yardi a plus); Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong organizational skills; Detail oriented with independent work ethic;
