Job Summary: Jordan Valley Community Health Center (JVCHC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Speech Therapist to assess, diagnose, and treat children with speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized therapy plans and work to empower children to achieve their communication and developmental goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and communication skills. Utilize standardized assessments, observations, and parent/teacher input to identify specific challenges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s specific needs. Provide therapy for speech delays, articulation issues, language disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, and other communication challenges. Utilize evidence-based techniques and creative approaches to engage children during therapy sessions. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and teachers to provide education, resources, and support for carryover of skills in home and school environments. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and consultations to coordinate care with other healthcare providers and specialists. Stay up to date on research and advancements in speech-language pathology and pediatric therapy techniques. Health Requirements: All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis (TB) as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Requirements: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology - Current state license to practice as a Speech Therapist - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred - Experience working with pediatric patients - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
