The Role (HQ Location, Pomona, CA) In this HQ, on-site position, you will manage 1 direct report and will be accountable for developing and deploying a strategy while quickly delivering revenue growth for our Kittrich Canopy Custom Tent & Accessory business unit. This division includes custom tents, flags, banners, trade show signs and more. You must be a hunter with a relentless drive for leveraging your knowledge & experience to grow our business, coupled with a passion for developing people and talent. Expertise in understanding how to generate and close leads from industry trade shows, identify, reach and sell to local Sporting/Recreation Leagues, School Districts, Restaurants, Retailers, E Commerce sites, and any group or organization that can or could purchase is required. Seeking a high-energy, results-focused and self-motivated sales leader. The Sales Managers responsibilities include: Generate incremental revenue within the Canopy custom tent & accessory business unit with existing and new customers, measured by year-over-year incremental sales growth and the number of new customer acquisitions. Coach, mentor and develop a junior Sales Manager and foster a collaborative team environment. Develop and cultivate effective, positive business relationships with key, repeat customers & decision makers ensuring joint business plans meet the customer and Kittrich growth agendas. Identify a robust list of potential prospects for the team to target selling our Canopy custom tents & accessories and outline a target approach plan that translates into incremental revenue. Analyze business and sales trends monthly to understand sales/shipment performance and be able to quickly identify issues, challenges and take action to course correct. Stay alert of competitive products while simultaneously thinking like an entrepreneur and bringing new product ideas and recommendations to the leadership team. Identify ways to streamline broad communication to all leads and contacts generated from trade shows and collected in our database to send e-mail blasts and announcements. Ensure catalogs and selling materials are up to date and include the best product recommendations the market is demanding. Provide accurate forecasts and partner with demand planning for inventory management on everyday business, new item distribution and promotional activity. Collaborate with the broader sales team, sharing information that supports the organization while also working with cross functional teams including marketing, operations, customer service ect. Prepare and present quarterly business plans to update leadership on business opportunities, challenges and needs for growth. Think big, outside the box and be comfortable sharing and presenting best practices, new ideas and opportunities to the organization. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business discipline. Minimum of 8-10 years national sales management experience selling to regional, local organizations and agencies across the U.S., retail and e-commerce. 3-5 years’ experience managing a direct report. Strong business acumen with a proven track record of developing existing accounts, prospecting and closing new business opportunities. Track record of strong trade show lead closures. Superior communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Methodically organized with data collection, tracking and communication to unlock speed and efficiency. Proficient in Microsoft office, especially PowerPoint and excel. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and willing to roll your sleeves up to get the job done.
