Advantage Tech is searching for a Infrastructure Security Administrator to join their client's team in Kansas City, Mo. We are needing an Infrastructure Security Administrator, who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of an organization's computer systems and network infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, network devices, and security measures, ensuring smooth operation, data integrity, and user access while proactively identifying and resolving potential issues ; often requiring expertise in hardware, software, network protocols, and security best practices to maintain system stability and performance. The candidate will also need to be a cybersecurity professional responsible for utilizing the Tenable platform to identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities within an organization's network and systems, actively managing the remediation process to mitigate security risks by leveraging Tenable's scanning and analysis capabilities . Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls Performing system backups and disaster recovery procedures Monitoring system performance and resource utilization Troubleshooting system issues and applying software updates Patch management and security configuration on servers Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) Managing network topology, IP addressing schemes, and routing protocols Monitoring network performance and identifying bottlenecks Implementing network security measures and policies Troubleshooting network connectivity issues Managing wireless network infrastructure Cyber Security/Tenable Administration: Vulnerability Scanning: Conduct regular scans of network infrastructure, applications, and systems using Tenable tools to detect potential vulnerabilities. Vulnerability Analysis: Analyze scan results, prioritize critical vulnerabilities based on severity and risk, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders. Remediation Management: Work with system owners to track and manage the remediation process for identified vulnerabilities, ensuring timely patching and configuration changes. Threat Intelligence Integration: Incorporate threat intelligence feeds into vulnerability assessments to prioritize vulnerabilities with higher potential impact. Policy Development: Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies related to vulnerability management practices. Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports on vulnerability trends, remediation progress, and security posture to key decision-makers. General Tasks: Documenting network configurations and system architecture Collaborating with IT teams to implement new technologies and upgrades Providing technical support to users regarding network and system issues Staying updated on emerging technologies and security best practices Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) Proficiency in server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) Knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) Experience with network monitoring tools Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Experience with ConnectWise Excellent communication and documentation skills Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of network security concepts, operating systems, and common vulnerabilities. Tenable Platform Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Tenable Security tools, including Nessus, SecurityCenter, and the Tenable platform features. Vulnerability Management Lifecycle: Familiarity with the vulnerability management lifecycle, including identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation, and reporting.
