Technical Program Manager

JETCOOL Technologies is seeking experienced technical program managers to support our R&D and early-stage product development programs by providing project leadership in product development. Successful candidates will lead and work closely with a team of inter-disciplined engineers from understanding of customer requirements, to entire prototype/product development cycle, to deliver the prototype solution to the customer and validate the performance at customer application. Strong preference will be given to those with a proven track record of thermal fluid system development and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Work with business and commercial leaders to fully understand customer requirements and translate into internal project plan including scope of work, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resource planning, scheduling, and cost estimate. Lead a cross-functional project team through the product and system development cycle from concept development, to prototyping and validation and work closely with engineering and manufacturing leaders to ensure on-time delivery of quality solutions to the customers Lead communication and technical exchange with customers, build and cultivate customer relationships Develop and own, initial product functional specs and ensure the final product meet or exceed the spec and customer expectations Lead technical problem solving and pull in cross functional team to provide innovative solutions Engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware, form partnerships for new capabilities Actively manage product development stages and milestones Manage IP generation, protection and ensure product leadership during the development cycle Effectively document and communicate progress and results to leadership and to customers Ensure effective and efficient technology transfer to product engineering and manufacture teams for product launch Be intellectually curious, open to feedback and committed to ongoing professional development Qualifications Bachelor (or higher) of Science (B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering) and 7 years of work experience and 2 years technical program/project management experience Excellent first principles knowledge in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and electrical engineering Track record of delivering complex technical solutions to customers with high quality and on schedule Strong R&D project management skills and communication skills Strong problem-solving and risk analysis skills Ability to develop thermal fluids system Must be able to lead customer interaction and relationship building Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects Ability to lead/work independently and lead small teams Prior experience in electronics or a hardware industry is preferred U.S. Citizenship is required Physical Requirements: Sitting: 50% Standing: 50% Walking: 50% Visual: 100% Auditory: 100% Driving: 15% Lifting: 50%
