Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist Location: Alexandria, VA Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm EST core hours (Onsite 1 day every 2 weeks) Overview: We are seeking experienced Contract Specialists to join our team at WHS-AD. The ideal candidates will have recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems to create modifications and contracts, specifically PD2 (Procurement Desktop Defense, or SPS, Standard Procurement System). Key Responsibilities: Create and write modifications and contracts using PD2 software. Support federal employee contract specialists in their duties. Administer cost-type contracts, conduct quantitative analysis, plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results. Utilize cost and price analysis techniques. Experience: Recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems (PD2, PRISM, ConWrite). Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant (preferably for the Department of Defense). Former contractor supporting federal employee contract specialists in creating/writing modifications and contracts using PD2 software. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field Certifications: Preferred contracting certifications include NCMA CFCM, NCMA CPCM, DAWIA Level III contracting, FAC-C Level III contracting. Skills/Technologies: Experience administering cost-type contracts. Quantitative analysis skills. Ability to plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results. Proficiency in cost and price analysis techniques. 3 years of demonstrated pre-award/award/post-award contracting experience procuring products and services utilizing FAR parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16. 4 years of demonstrated pre-award/award contracting experience. 2 years of demonstrated post-award contracting experience. DOD contracting experience and familiarity with FARS and DFARS. Nice to Have: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience: Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant. Experience with the Department of Defense. Experience using PD2 software.
