Jewish Federation of St. Louis is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team.

Our ideal candidate for this integral role at the St. Louis Jewish Federation meets the following criteria:
- Bachelors degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 5 continuous years of professional experience.
- Experience using various financial software/accounting systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP nonprofit accounting knowledge preferred.
- CPA license preferred.
How our Accounting Manager will spend their time:
- Record and/or review transactions recorded to the general ledger, including activity related to trusts and investment accounts.
- Record supporting foundation transactions to the general ledger and preparing monthly reporting.
- Oversee and facilitate processing of payment of grant payable requests for supporting foundations, endowments, and donor advised funds, working collaboratively with the Community Impact and Development departments.
- Supervisory duties encompassing the guidance and management of team members ensuring tasks are effectively completed.
- Perform quarterly reconciliation of grants payable.
- Participate in preparation of quarterly internal financial reports.
- Participate in the annual audit process, including preparation of various workpapers and reconciliations.
- Perform accounting for investments.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with internal and external business partners and employees.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to set priorities and maintain composure under stress. Results oriented.
- Ability to work well and collaborate with individuals in departments other than Finance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe. Ability to learn other relevant software systems and databases as needed.
