Winpak Films, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Engineering Team based out of Senoia, Ga on a full-time, onsite basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing capital projects to enhance process capability, production quality, and efficiency. You will contribute to the organization's strategic goals by staying up to date on technological advancements related to film equipment and processes, including extrusion, web handling, and converting technologies, helping Winpak Films remain a leader in the packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities/What you will do:
- Participate in long-term strategic planning for new production capabilities and capacity.
• Manage economic analysis and justification of capital requests from various departments.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Design, install, and start up process equipment, focusing on machinery modifications and new technologies.
• Ensure contractors comply with Winpak's safety policies and procedures.
• Provide monthly capital spending reports and perform post-project performance analysis for large-scale projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment design or process issues.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of project engineering experience, particularly with a focus on process equipment and automation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
• Proficiency in project management, including budget control, contractor management, and scheduling.
• Experience with PLCs, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with extrusion processes, compressors, chillers, HVAC systems, and other related technologies.
• Familiarity with software such as Python, C++, and VB.
• Certification or knowledge in NEC, NFPA, and arc flash safety standards.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a technical setting.
- This position is for a day shift.
• 100% onsite at the Senoia, Ga location.
• Limited travel may be required for project site visits or equipment testing.
