Account Executive, Ticket Sales: - Utica Comets, Utica City FC & The Adirondack Bank Center
The Role
As an Account Executive for the Utica Comets, Utica City Football Club and the Adirondack Bank Center, you will be responsible for driving ticket sales revenue and managing your book of current Season Ticket Members to meet retention goals. You will focus on effectively using Salesforce, Paciolan and other campaigns to engage with your Season Ticket Members and prospects.
This person will have an important role in the company's overall success with achieving ticket sales goals for the Utica Comets, Utica City FC and other arena events.
Job Responsibilities:
•Achieve and succeed individual ticket sales goals and renewal goals.
•Prospect and generate new business relationships by cold calling, emailing, text messaging and receiving referrals from current customers
•Effectively manage Season Ticket Member accounts by engaging with Members through outbound activities such as phone calls, emails, text messages, in person meetings, seat visits during games, etc.
•Answer all incoming calls on the main line and monitor other communication channels such as emails, text messages, social media platforms, etc. to assist all clients and fans.
•Schedule and execute multiple face-to-face meetings with prospective clientele, either in person or over a digital meeting (Zoom Conference)
•Engage individual event purchasers during games/matches to create relationships and begin dialogue around ticket programs
•Record notes and relevant information in Salesforce
•Meet regularly with Manager of Ticket Sales and ticketing department regarding progress and strategy for increasing sales
•Execute an annual sales plan (created with leadership) to reach individual and department sales targets
•Maintain a constant high level of professionalism and follow up with all potential clients
•Represent the Adirondack Bank Center at off-site community events promoting tickets programs for all properties
•The candidate must be willing to work non-traditional hours such as weekdays, weekends and Holidays
•Execute all game day tasks including but not limited to:
•Demonstrating exceptional customer service to all fans and clients by assisting in the box office as needed
•Resolving all questions and concerns regarding tickets and overall experience
•Following up with all clients that have booked game day experiences and hospitality.
Required Experience:
•Bachelor's degree
•1+ year(s) of previous sales experience preferred (within sports and/or entertainment is an added plus)
•Understanding of ticket sales process and sales technique/professionalism
Preferred Skills:
•Ability to communicate with all fans, clients and prospects in a professional manner
•Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, passion for the sports industry
•Ability to problem solve quickly and resolve customer objections in real time
•Enjoys working in a collaborative work environment
•Proficient and eager to generate referrals and self-prospected leads
•Strong time management and organizational skills
•Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly KPIs (key performance indicators)
•Creativity in customizing client solutions to fit their needs
•Ability to learn a new ticketing system (Paciolan) as well as customer relationship management tool (Salesforce)
•Adept to Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other forms of spreadsheets
The hourly rate for this position is between $15-20 per hour.
