SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, Workday HCMS is responsible for configuring and maintaining HCM systems, ensuring innovation, automation, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the company's internal policies, procedures, and guidelines. With Workday being the primary system to support, this role will focus on meeting the needs of business, investigating issues within the system, documenting changes, finding solutions, and growing the system's ability to serve the department and business needs. Supports business partners with cyclical needs of the department and enterprise-wide system projects to grow and develop technology around business needs and improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the subject matter expert for Workday Core HCM.
- Configures and maintains HCM systems, ensuring proper documentation of processes and procedures and compliance with internal audit procedures and federal and state laws.
- Assists the Lead analyst with building roadmaps and project plans for new automation and initiatives for their business partners.
- Works closely with business leaders to determine needs, trends, problems, solutions, and automation.
- Communicate with the Learning team on training, building, maintaining auditing practices, and investigating problems to find roots.
- Helps to lead any large changes within the system, ensuring there are no negative downstream impacts and all changes are properly tested and documented to ensure a smooth transition.
- Stays abreast of System releases as they relate to their functional area, ensuring implementation and testing of any new initiatives or functions that would benefit the business.
- Investigate any issues or roadblocks within the HCM systems, finding the root cause and testing and implementing solutions.
- Perform HCM system release testing for new functionality.
- Partners with the Data Analytics team and IT team to ensure their functional area gets the support they need to utilize the HCM system to its full capacity.
- Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risks.
- Measurable Outcomes: Staying abreast of HCM System releases, problem-solving for their functional areas, and automation possibilities, and continuously learning new applications and functions in HCM System.
- No Supervisory Responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of related Workday experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Experience with Workday configurations and integrations is required.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of generally accepted Human Capital financial principles including but not limited to HR analytics. Statistical analysis and testing knowledge.
- REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
