Duties:

1. Draft patent applications and manage the prosecution process before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international patent offices.
2. Conduct patentability searches, analyze prior art, and prepare opinions.
3. Provide strategic intellectual property advice and counsel to clients.
4. Assist in intellectual property litigation, including pre-litigation activities and dispute resolution.
5. Manage and maintain intellectual property portfolios for clients.

Requirements:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related scientific field.
3. Admission to practice law in Delaware or eligible for admission by waiver.
4. Registration to practice before the USPTO is mandatory.
5. 4-8 years of experience in patent prosecution, specializing in Organic Chemistry or related fields.

Education:

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related scientific field.

Certifications (Preferred):

Certification in Intellectual Property Law.
