Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of experience in the application of relay protection systems at either the distribution or transmission level or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years of experience in the application of relay protection systems at either the distribution or transmission level Relevant Work Experience Strong analytical ability and the capability to resolve emergencies associated with relay protection systems. Required Must be flexible to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities and deadlines. Required Possess strong technical competence, be well organized, and detail oriented. Required Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with subordinates, colleagues, and various levels of management. Required Computer proficiency to include MS Office. Required Experience in setting relays, performing coordination and fault studies, developing logic, and using related software. Required Ability to write specifications and standards and knowledge of industry standards and regulations (IEEE, IEC, PRC, etc). Preferred Possess good project management skills with a demonstrated record in implementing multi-discipline projects. Preferred Licenses And Certfications Driver's License Required Additional Physical Demands Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers. Must be available for travel both regionally and continent-wide, to attend conferences, meetings, etc. as needed. Must be capable of working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Must be able to walk/climb/stand extensively. Must be able to work in power plants and high voltage substations and wear the required PPE as needed.
