We are currently seeking a Business Developer in the Nashville, TN market covering the Southeast United States. The candidate must have a proven record of sales success and revenue growth, targeting and closing relevant opportunities with prospective and existing clients, while enhancing the firms reputation in the region.

Responsibilities

Revenue Growth and Brand Expansion:

  • Drive an increase in business revenue within the Southeast region, specifically the Nashville market, while expanding the company's presence in target markets and strengthening its brand power in the multifamily design space.

Opportunity Identification, Negotiation, and Closing:

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and market insight by identifying and presenting opportunities for qualified projects.
  • Perform market research on clients, prospective clients, and partners utilizing a variety of resources to stay up to date on the latest multifamily projects and relevant trends.
  • Identify relevant RFP opportunities and assist marketing in the creation and execution of RFP responses.
  • Work in collaboration with architectural designers and Subject Matter Experts, maintaining positive internal relationships to move the projects throughout the sales cycle and into completion.

Sales Process:

  • Clearly articulate the unique value proposition of the companys design services and experience, sharing relevant case studies and highlighting key differentiators that set us offering apart from the competition.
  • Prepare and execute sales presentations in collaboration with designers and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Identify profitable business opportunities and tailor solutions to client needs.

Networking, Lead Generation & Client Engagement:

  • Utilize a variety of communication channels, including cold calls and emails, to establish business relationships and arrange meetings with architectural design staff.
  • Track daily content activity managing existing client relationships and targeting potential new clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Leverage existing professional network to generate leads and actively participle in new activities to expand the companys presence locally, and in target markets.
  • Qualification and follow-up on in-bound leads from internal marketing department.

Industry and Community Engagement:

  • Attend industry events and conferences to promote the organization, build relationships, and generate leads.
  • Travel for face-to-face meetings and conferences, demonstrating commitment to client engagement and market knowledge.
  • Actively engage in the real estate community as the public-facing representative of the organization, establishing deep ties through the Southeast.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Multifamily Real Estate Development and/or relevant experience selling to Real Estate Developers.
  • Professional and/or educational background in Architecture or Real Estate.
  • Experience working closely in a doer-closer sales role alongside technical staff/Subject Matter Experts to collaborate on the execution of a sales opportunity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with potential clients and repeat clients
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment an entrepreneurial growth mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Salesforce as CRM.
