The Leidos team, supporting the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy, is seeking an Operational Energy Analyst to join our efforts. While most work can be performed remotely, some site visits will be required at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Leidos plays a vital role in assisting the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Operational Energy) with project management and policy support as Subject Matter Experts. Each year approximately $9 billion, or 7-8% of the Air Force budget, is allocated for energy purchases. Of this, around 86%, or $7.2 billion, is designated for operational energy (aviation fuel). The vision of the Air Force Operational Energy Program is to create an energy-optimized Air Force that enhances combat capability for the warfighter.

Must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance to be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Air Force in conducting, authoring, and maintaining Energy Supportability Analyses for various acquisition programs.

  • Provide comprehensive updates to leadership and stakeholders by participating in meetings and developing related materials, such as slides and after-action reports.

  • Deliver insights and market awareness regarding aviation fuel network operations, including command and control aspects.

  • Support senior governance and oversight activities across acquisition programs, aviation fuels, modeling, simulation, and logistics war-gaming.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for current and proposed acquisition programs related to operational energy, including participation in Analysis of Alternatives and development of key acquisition documents.

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

What Sets You Apart:

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant USAF acquisition, fuel logistics, or operations analysis experience, or a master's degree with at least 10 years of applicable experience.

  • Proficiency in technical writing and strong communication skills.

  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI required.

You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge or experience in DoD bulk fuel infrastructure, joint planning and operations analysis, and/or DoD acquisition processes.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
