We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer in Newington, CT for a World Class Manufacturing Company!

Pay:$75k-100k/yr

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer in the aerospace industry is responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing manufacturing processes for aerospace components. This role ensures high-quality, cost-effective production while adhering to aerospace industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace components, using techniques like CNC machining, casting, and additive manufacturing.
  • Implement lean manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of aerospace
  • components.
  • Provide input on product design to ensure processes meet cost, time, and quality targets.
  • Ensure processes comply with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations).
  • Work with quality teams to ensure products meet specifications and pass inspections.
  • Plan and manage engineering projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and other teams to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, composites).
Skills:
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD, NX).
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA).
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Certifications:
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
