What Success in Role Looks Like at The Waldinger Corporation  Responsible for the management of liability insurance claims to ensure prompt, fair, and compliant resolutions. Manages end-to-end claims processes, from investigation and analysis to negotiation and resolution, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational objectives.    Key Areas of Responsibility  
  • Liability Insurance: Reviews all liability claims to determine coverage and liability. Ensures all claims are handled in compliance with applicable laws and organizational practices.
  • Claims Oversight: Manages and participates in the end-to-end of liability claims, including worker’s compensation, general liability, and property damage. Ensures claim resolutions align with organizational objectives and budgetary constraints.
  • Management Reporting: Prepares claim review reports and facilitates quarterly claim reviews with carriers and management teams. Responsible for internal reporting, including the flash report, auto incident rate report, loss run, and safety opportunity fund report.  
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Acts as liaison between employees, management, legal counsel, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers. Enables effective communication to resolve claims efficiently.  Represents the company in mediations, arbitrations, or court proceedings.
  • Claims Management System: Responsible for the functionality and utilization of the CMS. 
  To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to connect claim information to execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.   Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical skills, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations and/or industrial-based groups is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
  • Ability to obtain facts that ensure claims information is complete and accurate.
  • Ability to interpret claim facts and apply these facts to determine the right approach in a variety of claim scenarios.
  • Working knowledge, or ability to learn medical terminology, workers’ compensation laws, procedures, and regulations.
