Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role, you will be part of a team managing a large system procurement, providing expert input and advice related to space, launch, and ground system commercial program management.

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications with a demonstrated capability to work collaboratively with customers at all levels, partners, and colleagues.
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems preferred) with 8+ years of experience in commercial space systems program management.
  • Experience working on commercial satellite programs, including communication space systems.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who can work independently and in a team.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced commercial and startup environments and enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams on diverse challenges related to satellite system development and implementation.
  • Must be a US citizen or green card holder.
  • Role is immediate, full-time, and may be performed from Northern California, Southern California, or with regular travel. Other locations may be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Commercial Space Systems Program Management including evaluation of contracts, RDW, schedule/IMS, management of key milestones and deliverables.
  • Spacecraft System Engineering expertise including but not limited to end-to-end architecture concepts, supplier evaluation, CONOPS development, ICD development, and creating technical proposals.

Candidate may have experience in one or many of the following:

  • Subsystem design and analysis, Systems Architecture development, bus systems engineering, electrical system design, mechanical system design, TTC, Comm payload design, Orbit Dynamics, GNC/ACS design, and design for manufacture and test.
  • Domain expertise across a spectrum of technical domains such as space environments analysis and test, PMP, thermal design/analysis/test, structural design/analysis/test, reliability, launch and mission analysis, ground system design.

The typical pay range for this position is USD $130,000 - $220,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan, and other benefits (all included as part of the package).
