Overview
i3 is pursuing the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) competitive effort. The mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection. We are currently reviewing candidate resumes for junior to senior level Cybersecurity Engineers in the Huntsville, AL area. This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities
Oversees the implementation of DoDD 8530.1, DoDD 8500.2, DoDI 8510.1, DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework, and other applicable NIST and CNSS IA directives, instructions, guidelines to include interfacing with the MDA Information Assurance management and case managers. Capability to design, develop, and implement solutions that meet network and system security requirements and perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems, networks, and applications. Leads and manages the implementation of required network security to properly safeguard all computer systems, network, and data in accordance with current policies and regulations. Assesses the security risks of IT systems, network, and software applications and documents them in formal security and risk assessments associated with the MDA Designated Accrediting Authority and Certification Authority process. Drives cyber strategy and provides insight into all policy and technical decisions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree. Years of relevant experience requirements for each level:
Level I: 0-10, Level II: 10-14, Level III: 15+
Experience in providing Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodial Experience in testing to validate established security requirements, recommending additional security requirements and safeguards, supporting the formal testing required by government accrediting authorities, and preparing System Security Plans. Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8570/8140 compliance. Active Secret clearance required. U.S. Citizenship is required. Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of office administration and procedures. Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.
